Current data suggests that if workplaces do not have a culture where team members feel they can discuss their fears and feelings\, leaders will spend 90% of their time managing the behaviors that are a result of not speaking about those fears and feelings. \nThe unspoken is never benign. \nThese times of change\, division\, and even the everyday life and work demands we all have can be a lot\, maybe even too much. Creating courageous and healthy families and work cultures during this time\, especially at work\, means getting uncomfortable\, feeling our feelings\, speaking the unspoken\, owning the stories we make up\, practicing empathy with accountability\, and choosing courage. \nAbout the Courage is Built Here™ Training \nA Licensed Professional Counselor\, Justine Froelker has over 25 years of experience in mental health\, personal growth\, and professional development helping people live and lead with more courage. For eleven years\, she was certified in Dr. Brené Brown’s work on vulnerability\, courage\, and empathy. Justine now shares her own curriculum\, Courage is Built Here\, which includes what her experience working with hundreds of organizations through countless engagements has taught her.\n\n\nWe need to: \n\n\n\n\n\nFeel our feelings fully and well.\nLearn how to come back to ourselves and take better care of ourselves.\nShow up fully and wholeheartedly.\nLove and lead others well.\nDo the work of the courageous life.\nAnd most of all\, do it in connection and community.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe work of courage doesn’t happen in isolation. You will complete an 80-page workbook\, packed with tools\, skills\, and language that supports living a courageous life. By the end\, you will walk away with a certificate of completion\, a full toolbox\, and a community of brave souls to do this work with you.\nWho Needs to Attend \nAnyone who wants to grow in their leadership and life. For those traveling to St. Louis for this training\, most hotel brands are available in Maryland Heights\, Clayton\, or the airport\, all within ten minutes from the venue. \nTo obtain your certificate of completion and for the safety and connection of the group\, participants must be present for all 24 hours of the training. \nThis course does not offer continuing education credit\, however\, Courage is Built Here™ leadership competencies can be approved for credit.
