For me, the heels would be armor.
An armor to impress you and try to minimize shame, judgment, and criticism.
Except it isn’t actually my job to impress you, it’s my job to teach you.
And there isn’t anything in my power, most especially my footwear, to prevent anyone from shaming, judging, or criticizing me, simply not in my scope of influence.
Most of all, it wouldn’t be me, and when I’m not all of who I am, I lose my ability to show up fully and abandon myself, which means I can’t serve well.
So to stand in my call, walk out the work, and be me, I wear my fun flats. Plus, my healing body thanks me for it too.
I am headed to New Jersey for another event after my 2nd NYC event this morning with a fantastic group of CEOs. Grateful, thankful, and walking out courage in my comfortable Rothys.?
