Today of all days, may we remember to sit beside someone who thinks and feels differently than us and seek to understand them.
Asking how come, tell me more, and will you share your story with me and how you came to believe this?
And then to truly choose to stay curious and listen, really listen.
To witness one another’s fears and loves.
To remember that seeking to understand doesn’t mean we agree.
Simply, though in these times not always easily, to choose to remember our shared and common humanity in and through our differences.
