Our final Accountability Check-In of the year with my friends—the administrators at @ssdstlco — and I decided to go all in on creativity to help us embody the work and celebrate how far we’ve come.
So yes, I drew not one, but two “Courage: How Far We’ve Come” Pathways.
– Am I an artist? Not even close.
– Did I Google how to draw grass? Only before the second pathway.
– Did my knees get sore, which meant the second one got way fewer flowers? Absolutely.
But what a cool, grounding way to pause and reflect—on what we’ve let go of and what we’ve implemented in our walk toward more courage.
As I told them: I’m not an expert artist. I’m an expert feelings person.
So thank you for your grace.
And thank you to everyone at SSD for showing up to this work so fully. I love getting to be with you—and I’m so proud of all the growth I’ve witnessed. See you next school year!
