About this event
Courageous people make courageous families and courageous teams.
When it comes to work, keeping good talent requires work cultures where team members feel safe and seen. We need the language and tools to have courageous conversations. Current data suggests that if workplaces do not have a culture where team members feel they can discuss their fears and feelings, leaders will spend 90% of their time managing the behaviors that are a result of not speaking about those fears and feelings.
The unspoken is never benign.
These times of change, division, and even the everyday life and work demands we all have can be a lot, maybe even too much. Creating courageous and healthy families and work cultures during this time, especially at work, means getting uncomfortable, feeling our feelings, speaking the unspoken, owning the stories we make up, practicing empathy with accountability, and choosing courage.
About the Courage Built Here™ Training
For over 25 years, I’ve been helping people live, love, and lead with more courage. After more than ten years of teaching the Dare to Lead™ curriculum, I am excited to go beyond it to include what my experience working with hundreds of organizations through countless engagements has taught me.
We need to:
- Feel our feelings fully and well.
- Learn how to come back to ourselves and take better care of ourselves.
- Show up fully and wholeheartedly.
- Love and lead others well.
- Do the work of the courageous life.
- And most of all, do it in connection and community.
The work of courage doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s done together, in spaces where we can be seen and supported. That’s exactly what this full curriculum training is all about.
This will be an immersive walk through my Courage is Built Here™ curriculum, which is based on decades of work as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Daring Way™ and Dare to Lead™ Facilitator. You’ll complete an 80-page workbook, packed with tools, skills, and language that supports living a courageous life. By the end, you’ll walk away with a certificate of completion, a full toolbox, and a community of brave souls to do this work with you.
