Last week I had two tours at Monarch Meadows Retreat, both with women who are friends and who also are potential clients or can introduce me to clients.
For me, the friend part supersedes the business part. By a lot.
And I have learned that building a business is maybe a bit easier with friends, and it is for sure not so painful and even fun.
I love showing this property and telling all the stories to people. And it takes time. Actually, quite a bit of time in my schedule. And so, in reality, I am thankful for friends who get that this is not only a fun friend thing; it is also a “I need your help and your business” thing.
As it turns out, both of them had had a rough go, and spending the morning walking through a historic property full of fun vintage things, each with a story behind it, was exactly what they needed. Plus, my wildflower bouquets always bring people so much joy.
They both asked how they could help. My response was, we need help on the land always, and mostly please go tell the world about this place and my work.
Of course, I want to show you Monarch Meadows. And I need your referrals for people who need space, who want to bring me in to teach courage, or who want to attend one of my events here.
A friend thing and a business thing. It’s both.
