About this event
Courageous people make courageous families and courageous teams.
When it comes to work, keeping good talent requires work cultures where team members feel safe and seen. We need the language and tools to have courageous conversations. Current data suggests that if workplaces do not have a culture where team members feel they can discuss their fears and feelings, leaders will spend 90% of their time managing the behaviors that are a result of not speaking about those fears and feelings.
The unspoken is never benign.
These times of change, division, and even the everyday life and work demands we all have can be a lot, maybe even too much. Creating courageous and healthy families and work cultures during this time, especially at work, means getting uncomfortable, feeling our feelings, speaking the unspoken, owning the stories we make up, practicing empathy with accountability, and choosing courage.
About the Courage is Built Here™ Training
A Licensed Professional Counselor, Justine Froelker has over 25 years of experience in mental health, personal growth, and professional development helping people live and lead with more courage. For eleven years, she was certified in Dr. Brené Brown’s work on vulnerability, courage, and empathy. Justine now shares her own curriculum, Courage is Built Here, which includes what her experience working with hundreds of organizations through countless engagements has taught her.

The work of courage does not happen in isolation. It is done together, in spaces where we can be seen and supported. That is exactly what this full curriculum training is all about.
This will be an immersive walk through Justine’s Courage is Built Here™ curriculum. You will complete an 80-page workbook, packed with tools, skills, and language that supports living a courageous life. By the end, you will walk away with a certificate of completion, a full toolbox, and a community of brave souls to do this work with you.
Who Needs to Attend

More Information
The training will be held in-person in St. Louis, Missouri on July 23-25, 2025. It will take place 8:30am – 5:00pm each day at The Lodge at Des Peres, 1050 Des Peres Rd, Des Peres, MO 63131. For those traveling to St. Louis for this training, most hotel brands are available in Town and Country or Des Peres, within ten minutes from the venue.
To obtain your certificate of completion and for the safety and connection of the group, participants must be present for all three days of the training in their entirety.
This course does not offer continuing education credit, however, Courage is Built Here™ leadership competencies can be approved for credit. If you would like to submit to your licensing organization, we can provide the full learning objectives.
Seats are limited, register early to reserve your space. Lunch, light snacks, and beverages will be provided each day of training.
