For Tiffany
My friend Tiffany was one of the first people to say yes to herself and this work. Years ago, she joined me for a Rising Strong Intensive on my eight-city tour, and we’ve stayed connected ever since.
In 2022, @tiffany.paints.joy was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer. Despite chemo and surgery, it eventually metastasized to her brain and bones. She is now in hospice, courageously sharing her story, loving her family deeply, and creating breathtaking artwork that reflects the beauty she carries and gives.
When she reached out and offered to create a piece for Monarch Meadows, I didn’t hesitate. I told her, “Pray over it, and paint whatever comes.” What arrived in the mail took my breath away. The piece for the Wildflower Bedroom is perfect. And the surprise second piece? It will live in the cozy, creative, soul-soothing lounge downstairs where there will be puzzles, legos, journaling, art, tea, laughter, and tears.
Her note on the back made me cry. These pieces are more than art. They are legacy. They are love.
Tiffany, thank you. I love you. I am praying for you and your family as you walk this sacred transition into eternal life with our Savior. You’ve marked this world and my heart.
