The biggest and longest walk of faith.

Yesterday was the first day that Monarch Meadows Retreat was just ours and God’s.

When we purchased the property, we inherited a renter that we have loved getting to know. However, the buildings simply aren’t big enough to support both their dreams and ours.

So yesterday, Chad and I walked the property and buildings, praying over it all.

It was overwhelming.

The dream feels closer than ever before, and honestly, in some ways, I’m still terrified it may all be pulled out from under me.

So in a rather bold act of faith, as if this walk isn’t bold enough, requiring more faith than we’ve ever held, felt, or walked out for all the world to see, we put Monarch Meadows on the letterboard sign before we left.

As we continue to get creative with financing and pray that our inspections don’t give us too many surprises, I’ve been encouraged to start a GoFundMe. We aren’t there. Nor am I sure my ego and heart could take that. Plus, God will let us know if we need to go that route.

However, I’ve also been asked a lot how people can help.

First, pray. Big, bold prayers, please.

Second, those same people have encouraged me to start an Amazon Wishlist. And since I never got to have any baby showers, consider this my baby shower, because this big dream, over ten years in the making, is definitely a version of a baby for us, at least.

Did I just go there? Sure did.

Our reoccupancy inspections for the sanctuary are on Monday 3/9. We’re asking for prayers for that day, specifically that they don’t require us to do something we never planned to do and can’t afford.

Thank you for your support and prayers. They mean more than you can ever know right now.
