I Am Made for This

When traveling for work and getting ready in bathrooms with terrible light, I always do a makeup check selfie in the sunshine. A deep breath. A prayer for the event ahead.

My friend told me she could see my readiness in this picture. That this is big.

My other friends and Chad sent messages all day long, cheering me on, praying, checking in to see how it was going. Meanwhile I spent the day trying to be present, trying to soak it all in, while also feeling the disbelief that this opportunity was actually happening. That it was here.

I won’t put here the fear-based lie my brain tried to sell me to make me more comfortable all day, while the enemy also actively tried to take me out with it. Instead, I held on to the excitement of the people who love me. The people who have watched me build this business for many, many years. I held on to how prepared I was for an event completely outside my norm and my comfort. I held onto this chance I’ve been given all from a quick 30 minute coaching call. Most of all, I held on to the sense of the God who goes before me and calls me His Mother of Restoration. I held on to knowing I am made to teach this work, to help people remember how loved they are.

I don’t know what will come of this opportunity. What I do know is that I can trust it.

This is Courage is Built Here™. Not knowing the outcome and showing up anyway. Trusting the work I’ve built, trusting the God who goes before me, trusting myself.

And in a few weeks, this work gets to go even further. My full day workshop will be available through Taylor Welch‘s Novos Network. More people, remembering how loved they are. More lives, restoried and restored.

When we restory, we restore. I am living proof of it, one deep breath, one bathroom mirror, one leap of faith at a time.

More on this tomorrow in my newsletter.
