The Becoming Path – Book 14!

Book 14 is here and live on Amazon!

Help me welcome my first adult fiction book, an allegory, The Becoming Path.

I’ve written fourteen books now. Fourteen times I’ve put my heart into words and released them into the world. Technically, I’m a best-selling and award-winning author, though those titles have never been the point.

I never set out to write this many books. Writing and publishing haven’t made me rich or famous, and honestly, that’s not why I do it. This very week, the week I’m launching The Becoming Path, a book I’m deeply proud of in a quiet, trusting way, I also learned that my only traditionally published book, 100 Devotions for Kids Dealing with Anxiety, has been pulled from print due to low sales.

And this is the life of a small author.
A mostly self-published author, especially.

I used to get so disappointed on launch days. They felt anticlimactic, just another day in the life of a creative entrepreneur who works hard to create meaningful work that serves the world. You launch with excitement and pride, and these days, with as little expectation as possible. Because, let’s be honest, algorithms don’t always cooperate. Even the people who choose to follow and support you don’t always see your work. And people are overwhelmed, doing their best, stretched thin. Their bandwidth isn’t always there to like, share, purchase, or read.

What I’ve come to love and learn the most, though, is that it isn’t about any of that.

For me, it’s about obedience to every nudge I feel.
It’s about living from my values of courage and love, in service of others.
To do the work, to create the thing, and to come for the one.
Because one is enough.

One has ripples that go far beyond what I’ll ever see on this side of eternity.
So, if you’re still reading this extra piece of writing from me this week, thank you.

And I’d love for you to celebrate with me as I welcome my fourteenth book baby, The Becoming Path.

I think you’ll love her. She’s a gift, from and to me, for and to you.
A story about becoming yourself again.
You can find her on Amazon here

And yes, of course, I’m going to ask you to please purchase if you can, like and share on social, and help me share her with the world. I suppose I wouldn’t be an author if I didn’t ask.

Thank you for being here.
Thank you for reading my words.
Thank you for walking this becoming path with me.
