And yet she blooms.

Planted with care.
Planted with prevention for underground scavengers (holly leaf in each hole with the bulb).
Nourished with sun.
Checked on and spoken over with love.

Bitten back.
Unpredictable temps.
Stepped on.

And yet she blooms.
Sure she doesn’t stand as tall as she could, still she blooms.

My first try at tulips is a reminder that all the love, nourishment, and care can and will triumph over what tries to keep us from blooming at all.
