Connection is what it’s all about

“I’m just being honest.”
“These are just the facts.”

First, drop the minimizing word ‘just’—it doesn’t soften your brutal honesty.

Second, let’s rethink the whole ‘brutally honest’ approach. If your honesty feels unkind—or worse, cruel—it’s time to reassess.

Finally, I’m way more likely to receive your honesty and facts when they come wrapped in empathy and compassion. Because when we approach each other with kindness, we’re in it together, in connection, what we are made for.

Clear is kind.
Kind is connection.
Connection is what it’s all about.
