I love it!

@mz_michellez texted me, “I found this thrifted gift that made me think of you. It’s either going to be super tacky or super cute. No worries if it’s too tacky.”

When I opened the package, I was instantly overwhelmed with memories of my grandma Henderson. It was both tacky and cute—exactly what I didnt know I wanted. I texted Michelle back: It’s both and perfect. I love it.

So today, I wore it out—an oversized vintage bird sweatshirt paired with combat boots—and got two out of three excited, “Oh my gosh, that’s so cute!” reactions. The one holdout? Chad. He was also not super helpful in getting a cute picture of me in it. Thank God his talents lie elsewhere because fashion advice and social media photography are not in his wheelhouse.

But here’s the thing: I’ve decided anything goes in fashion these days, and I don’t really care if you—or Chad—think it’s not cute. I love it.

Thanks, Michelle, for the perfect blend of tacky, cute, and meaningful!
