May you find what makes you marvel

Relish

Marvel

Gentle

Savor

Go lightly

Soft

Tender

Calm

Surrender

Awe

A list of words I have never really used to describe me or my life before the last few years.

I suppose I thought the hustle, push, hard work, and tired were required of honoring my grit and passion.

And made me, at least in the running to be enough in the world’s eyes.

Except I think they were actually suffocating my grit and passion…me.

And it still it was never enough.

And then I got sick. Really sick.

I don’t think I had to either, at least not as badly as I did.

Still, that dark has been one of the greatest teachers of my life.

There’s nothing like pain and struggle to get you really clear on what matters.

Because it turns out that relishing, marveling, being gentle, savoring, going lightly, choosing soft, being tender, creating calm, surrendering to it all, and living in awe both helps me to live into and honor all that I am.

Plus, it’s not so exhausting and way more fun this way.

May you find what makes you marvel, too.
