This year feels different.

This year feels different.
Finally.

Yesterday I had the honor of spending all day working with the team at Affton School District for their Back to School PD day.

We practiced empathy and courageous conversations and I reminded them all of how much they must take care of themselves.

I think one of the best parts for me was having so many of them tell me something they were going to change and implement because of what they learned with me.

Good students themselves. <3

I have been around a lot of educators these last few weeks and what I know for sure, beyond how difficult the job is, is that they love and care about your kids soooooo much.

I am beyond grateful for the chance to pour into them for a whole day.
