Wintering

My wintering.

My slow down, listen, wonder, create, and play.

I never thought I’d look forward to walks in the winter, let alone walks without dogs, music, or a book playing. A quiet walk with just me observing the trees, soaking in the elusive sunshine, praying, listening, and downloading some ideas.

Entering into worlds that make me think, laugh, cry, learn, and wonder in devouring good books.

Writing two new books, one of which feels totally out of my league and maybe, at least, nearly impossible to write.

Creating in using my hands and learning new crochet stitches, all while accepting that my edges may always be imperfect and that I think I’ll just stick with easy scarves.

Playing in building my Lego A-frame cabin that seriously brings me so much joy. I mean, look at that little cabin kitchen and record player, complete with a freaking salt lamp.

All while recentering, strategizing, and preparing for the year ahead in my business.

Wintering…

I think it’s contentment.
