A little reintroduction
Every once in a while, it feels right to pause and reintroduce myself, especially in a world that keeps telling us to fit neatly into boxes and niches.
Hi, I’m Justine Froelker, therapist, speaker, author, and creator of the Courage is Built Here™ curriculum. My work is about helping people and teams live, love, and lead with courage because courage truly changes everything.
I don’t compartmentalize myself on social media (even when the algorithm begs me to). I believe the world doesn’t need more perfectly curated highlight reels, it needs whole, messy, authentic humans willing to show up as they are.
So, take what you need and leave the rest.
And when something rubs or challenges you, maybe lean in with curiosity instead of scrolling away. Chances are, even in our differences, our common humanity is right there waiting to be seen and felt.
After seven years of fighting a very dark battle with my health, I am finally beginning to feel good, which means sometimes I take a random car selfie to remind myself of how far I’ve come and that happy is a choice, and joy is a state of being.
Thank you for being here!
6 Fun Facts You Might Not Know
I’ve written thirteen books, one entirely in a hotel room in Utah. Number fourteen releases December 2nd: my first adult fiction book, an allegory I can’t wait to share.
I’m an avid reader, usually juggling at least three books at once because one story or idea is never enough.
I used to think I wasn’t good at brain puzzles until I challenged myself to stop scrolling and try a brain health puzzle book. Now it’s part of my daily practice and one of my favorite ways to rest my mind.
I volunteer at Wild Bird Rehabilitation (yes, I’ve fed hundreds of baby birds and cleaned up plenty of bird poop).
My happy place is on my screened porch at our creekside cabin or in my wildflower gardens, surrounded by the quiet hum of creation.
And if I could bottle one feeling forever, it would be the peace of a quiet morning with coffee, sunlight, and the reminder that courage is being fully alive to all of it.
