It’s choosing love—every single time.

I’m often told I’m the most disciplined person someone knows.

And it’s true—discipline is part of my courage value.

It’s not just how I’m wired (though that’s part of it), and it’s not just my routines (and there are many).

It’s the product of deep healing, hard choices, and a daily decision to love myself well.

There are so many pieces of my life that have changed simply because I reminded myself:

That thing…
That food…
That behavior…

It cannot and will not love me back.

And even on the days I can’t quite say it—let alone feel it—I choose to love myself more than the thing trying to numb, distract, or soothe me.

Discipline, for me, is choosing light over dark.

It’s believing that the discomfort won’t last forever.
It’s trusting that the other side of the hard thing is better.
It’s choosing love—every single time.
