Justine Froelker - Mental Health Motivational Speaker - Quote

People can change.

People can change.

If I didn’t believe that, I would go do something else for a living.

Sometimes, they don’t want to change.*
Sometimes, they change too late.*
Sometimes, the hurt has been too much, and it doesn’t matter to you if they change.*

People can change, though.

It can be hard to hold this hope when we have been hurt or when trust has been broken.

It can also be hard to hold this hope when we choose to stay in resentment and live from old narratives or stories we made up.

It may only take one person to break trust.
It takes both of us to repair it, though.

Which actually may require both of us to change.

People can change.

I’ll hold onto the hope of that for you until you can fully grasp and believe in it yourself.

I promise though, it’s a hope worth believing in.

*which means we set boundaries and sometimes have to love/lead people from afar.
