What if we?

What if we dared to say how we really are?

What if we dared to refuse to take “fine” as an answer to how someone is?

What if we dared to create the space where we both could show up fully?

What if we challenged the systems, things, and stories that tell us we have to mask up, plow through, numb out, stuff down, hustle, earn, strive, and pretend?

What if we listened, sat beside, sought to understand, and walked together on level ground in our common humanity?

Maybe we would finally remember and believe that we are never, ever alone, that if we are loved and needed, and that together we can heal.
